I KNOW! Super Bowl happened in February. But I made these super delicious apps and totally forgot to post AND take a picture. I was craving these and realized that I never captured the success here. Ugh! Well, as soon as I make them again (likely Fathers Day), I’ll add the pics
Buffalo Chicken Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls, keep them stuck together and cut horizontally so there’s 12 tops and 12 bottoms
- 1 bottle of Buffalo Wild Wings sauce (or your fav)
- 1 rotisserie chicken
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Black poppy seeds or parsley and salt to top rolls
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt butter and add garlic in a small bowl.
Shred chicken into a medium bowl and add buffalo sauce. If really saucy, add some of the cheese.
Add chicken mixture to bottom of rolls. Top with cheese and then top of rolls. Brush butter/ garlic on top.
Bake for 20 mins.
Cozy Little Dogs
TheShaySpence created this recipe!
- 1 package of cocktail hot dogs
- 1 package of ready pizza dough, love Pillsbury
- 1 cup salted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- Red chili flakes
- Parsley, minced
- Fav marinara to serve with
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unwrap pizza dough and cut into strips. Wrap each dog with a cozy pizza dough strip. It should be just once around. The first few are trials. You’ll get the hang of it. It’s important to smoosh the final end of the dough with the rest of the dough on the dog to ensure it doesn’t unwrap.
Place in the baking sheet with at least a 1/2” between each.
Place in the oven and bake for 20 mins or until golden. Be sure not to burn the bottoms.
While baking, melt the butter on the stove. Once bubbling a little, take off the stove and immediately add the garlic to cook it a bit. Add in as much chili flakes as you’d like.
Once dogs are cooked. Add them in batches to the butter mixture to coat. Set each batch in a serving tray. Once all coated, taste for any toppings you’d like to add like additional salt or fresh parsley or more of the mixture and more chili pepper.
Serve with marinara sauce.
Definitely not heart healthy but absolutely heart happy.
